Water separation class
Water separation classes
According to AMA, air intakes must be tested according to SS-EN 130 30 which is a standard for measuring water separation and performance of grilles using simulated rain and wind pressure. The test result is divided into A, B, C class where A class stands for highest class. We test our grills at VTT, Finland.
The tests have been carried out with 13 m/s wind and 75 l/h simulated rain per square meter grill connection area. During tests, the flow of outside air through grilles has gradually increased. 13 m/s wind has a wind force of 6 on the Beaufort scale (10.8-13.8)
